A patient dosimetry verification system and a major innovation in radiation
therapy.
OneDose™ was specifically designed for radiation therapy. By
accurately and immediately measuring radiation dose through the use of a small,
disposable adhesive patch, the OneDose™ system provides individualized patient
dosimetry measurements for optimized therapy. Monitoring surface dose has never
been this easy. The patches are calibrated for immediate use and provide an
archival method of recording the patient data.
Solving your challenges, helping your patients
With the host of factors that have to be considered, developing and executing
an isodose plan is an extremely complicated undertaking. For one critical
question – was the prescribed dose of radiation delivered to the tumor? —
answers have been difficult to obtain.
Traditionally, health care professionals have had two basic
choices for external dosimetry measurement: TLD (Thermal Luminescent Detectors)
and diode devices.
TLDs are small in size, relatively accurate and wireless.
However, there’s a long delay between measurement and readout, and the device
is difficult to label and handle.
By contrast, diode devices provide an immediate readout and are
very sensitive. However, they include cumbersome wiring and require regular and
careful calibration.
Neither device, as you well know, is patient- or user-friendly.
Now there is a superior alternative.
