Knowing for sure
Clearly, knowing what is happening with tumor cells would allow more effective
dosing, more efficient timing, and, in the case of chemotherapy, better control
of the choice of agents.
Most important, more targeted treatment would benefit the
patient. When the oncologist is able to determine the appropriate therapy and
to use it for the right amount of time, better patient outcomes would almost
definitely follow.
