Sicel's medical advisory team is chaired by Dr. Charles Scarantino; Dr. Nagle and Dr. Black also serve on the team. Team members from outside the firm are Drs. O. Michael Colvin, George W. Paschall, III and Kenneth Wheeler.
O. Michael Colvin, MD

O. Michael Colvin, MD, is director of the Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Colvin received his AB in chemistry from Indiana University in 1957 and his MD from Washington University in St. Louis in 1961. Dr. Colvin performed his residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, and later became chief of the division of pharmacology and experimental therapeutics.
George Washington Paschal, III, MD

George Washington Paschal, III, MD, is a surgeon and member of the executive committee at Raleigh Surgical Group, Inc. Dr. Paschal received his MD from Wake Forest University Bowman Gray School of Medicine in 1973. Prior to joining Raleigh Surgical Group, Dr. Paschal did his residency at Yale New Haven Hospital and became an instructor at the Yale University School of Medicine.
Kenneth Wheeler, PhD

Kenneth Wheeler, PhD, is professor (emeritus) of radiologic sciences at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine and president of Wheeler Scientific Consultants, Inc., in Winston-Salem, NC. Dr. Wheeler received his BA from Harvard College in 1962; MAT in education (biological sciences) from Wesleyan, CT, in 1963; and PhD in radiation biophysics from Kansas University in 1970. After a postdoctoral fellowship at Colorado State University (1970-1972), and prior to joining the faculty at Wake Forest, Dr. Wheeler served on the faculties of the University of California San Francisco (1972-1976), University of Rochester School of Medicine, NY (1976-1981), Brown University (1976-1981), and Kansas University (1983-1986).
