Michael D. Riddle
President & CEO, Director

Michael Riddle has over twenty-five years experience in the health care
industry. His experience includes the marketing, sales, business development
and operation in both capital equipment and disposable medical device segments
for Fortune 100 and start-up phase medical companies. Most recently he served
as the Executive Vice President, Sales Marketing and Business Development for
PharmaNetics Inc where he was responsible for establishing strategic alliances
for distribution and product development and was part of the team responsible
for completing a successful IPO. Prior to PharmaNetics, Mr. Riddle was employed
by American Home Products for seven years in various positions including VP of
Sales and Marketing for Sherwood Medical Devices.
Paul J. McDaniel
Executive Vice President of Operations and Quality

Paul McDaniel has over twenty years of experience in operating and improving
processes related to the design, production, and field support of software and
hardware based products in both the medical device and military systems
industries. He has worked in medical device and military systems industries. He
has served as Quality Manager, Quality Director, and Vice-President of
Operations/Quality in his 3 year tenure at Sicel Technologies. He has worked in
the Medical Device Field in a variety of roles including Corporate Quality
Manager, Product Risk Manager, and Engineering Manager at Hill-Rom. Prior to
Hill-Rom, he was engaged as a Senior Engineer working for Dynamic Systems, a
Quality and Systems Engineering consulting firm in Alexandria VA. Mr. McDaniel
served as a US Technical Expert to an international committee that developed
the ISO standard governing the application of Risk Management Techniques to
Medical Devices. He graduated from University of Kentucky with a BS in
Electrical Engineering.
Gloria Beyer, PhD
Vice President of Clinical Operations, Sr. Medical Physicist

Dr. Gloria Beyer has an extensive clinical and commercial background in medical
physics. Most recently Dr. Beyer was employed as a Physicist and Education
Specialist by Varian Medical Systems responsible for developing and
implementing clinical training programs for stereotactic radiosurgery and IMRT
products. She provided world wide technical sales and marketing support in
addition to providing on-site training courses for physicians and physicists in
the US, Latin America, Europe and Asia. Dr. Beyer has maintained her clinical
accreditation working in various radiation oncology clinics, originally as an
employee and later as a consultant through her own company. Dr. Beyer received
her Ph.D. in engineering sciences with an emphasis on medical imaging through
Moffitt Cancer Center at the University of South Florida. She also holds
advanced degrees in Medical Health Physics (University of Florida in
Gainesville) and in Solid State Physics (Florida State University). Dr. Beyer
is a nationally published author in the area of medical imaging and lectures
frequently on this and related topics. She is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and
Italian and speaks conversational French.
Eric T. Espenhahn
Vice President of Engineering & Product Development

Eric Espenhahn has over twenty years experience in product development at both
start-up phase companies and large multi-nationals. Previous to his most recent
position as a Project Leader for drug discovery technology at GlaxoSmithKline
he was Vice President Engineering at Xanthon a biotechnology start-up. He has
successfully managed engineering and scientific teams in the development and
commercialization of complex technological products including industrial
inspection systems, automated microscopy systems for clinical laboratories, DNA
analysis and microfluidic instrumentation for drug discovery. Mr. Espenhahn has
experience in managing all aspects of engineering and software product
development from concept through field support. He graduated with Honors from
Carnegie Mellon University with a B.S. in Applied Mathematics (Computer
Science).
Tammy B. Carrea
Vice President of Regulatory Affairs

Tammy Carrea has worked in the regulatory affairs field for such companies as
AMSCO International and Separation Technologies. She was Document Control and
Compliance Manager as well as QA/RA Manager for New Product Development at
Cardiovascular Diagnostics where she developed and obtained approval for a
Humanitarian Device Exemption submission for a drug monitoring diagnostic test
through the office of Orphan Products at CDRH (similar to a PMA). Ms. Carrea
graduated from North Carolina State University with a B.S. in Materials Science
and Engineering.
Greg G. Mann
Vice President of Technology Development

Greg G. Mann is an electrical engineer with significant experience in design
and development of electronic products. Mr. Mann was instrumental in
implementing performance improvements and a 50% cost reduction in power supply
designs while at Pairgain Technologies. He was a key member of the design team
responsible for Exide Electronics’ successful entry into the telecom power
market. Mr. Mann graduated from North Carolina State University with an MS in
Electrical Engineering.
Jennifer G. Pierce
Controller

Jennifer Pierce is a Certified Public Accountant and gained her public
accounting experience working for the Big Four firm of Ernst & Young, LLP,
where she was responsible for audit and assurance services. While at Ernst and
Young she was involved in several of her clients’ public offerings subsequently
assisting in the preparation of SEC filings. Ms. Pierce graduated from the
University of Alabama with a B.S. in Accounting.
Charles W. Scarantino, MD, PhD
Consulting Medical Director & Chairman of the Board

Dr. Scarantino, one of Sicel’s principal founders, is a radiation oncologist
with Triangle Radiation Oncology Services. He practices in the Rex Healthcare
Cancer Center in Raleigh, North Carolina. Dr. Scarantino received a Ph.D. in
cell physiology at St. John’s University and an M.D. from Bowman Gray School of
Medicine.
