The DVS® (Dose Verification System) SmartMarker™ is the first and only implantable dosimeter that provides both verification of radiation dose delivered to the tumor site and can be used in conjunction with imaging tools for target identification. Used as an adjunct to treatment planning, it provides information to deliver more consistent daily dose and optimized treatment plans for each patient. Never before has there been a way to confirm the accurate delivery of the treatment plans you prescribe.
Confident Control.
DVS is intended for use in radiation therapy to verify treatment planning and radiation dose to tissue and organs in or near the irradiated areas of the patient. DVS measures the dose delivered in tissue including the combined effects of tissue inhomogeneity, organ movement, patient set-up errors and intra-fractional movement, factors that can result in a significant difference between actual versus planned radiation treatment. Monitoring daily dose measurements alerts you to random or systematic variations that can have a profound impact on tumor control and surrounding normal tissue.

Intelligent Integration.
DVS is easily integrated into your existing treatment protocol without interrupting workflow, providing real-time assessment of actual radiation dose. The simple 3-step measurement process can be completed in less than a few minutes during patient treatment using a special reader to telemetrically collect dosimeter radiation readings and transfer results automatically to the Plan and Review software. The Plan and Review software immediately processes patient data, treatment plans and dosimeter readings, producing a daily visual and tabular record of dose delivered. The DVS database can be accessed remotely at your convenience enabling you to make informed decisions to individualize treatment plans.
